BP Gallery

By default all uploaded images are published. If you want to change the images details and then publish them yourself, you need to change default image state. Go to Components/BP Gallery/Images. Click on Options button in upper right corner. Then click on Image tab. The parameter you are interested in is Default image state.

Go to Components/BP Gallery/Images. Click on Options button in upper right corner. Then click on Thumbnails tab. The parameter you are interested in is Lightbox image title (Show - title is visible, Hide - title is hidden.

Go to Components/BP Gallery/Images. Click on Options button in upper right corner. Then click on Category tab.

Depending on what layout you are using there are 2 settings you should be interested in:

• For Masonry layout change Columns parameter in Masonry view settings section.
• For Square layout change Images in row parameter of Square view settings section.
• For Default layout you can't really limit the number of images per row. It fits as many images as can be displayed in current window with.

You can also change those settings in the Category tab of the menu item you want to have different columns number.

Go to Components/BP Gallery/Images. Click on Options button in upper right corner. Then click on Thumbnails tab.

Thumbnail sizes are thumbnail sizes that will be generated when image is uploaded or thumbnails are regenerated (this increases front-end gallery performance after adding new images).

Default thumbnails sizes are thumbnail sizes for each category layout shipped with the component. you can also change this per menu item in Image tab of menu item pointing to gallery category.

Create a category called for example Animals. Then in this category create 3 subcategories: Cats, Dogs, Birds. Upload images to each of the categories. Go to Components/BP Gallery/Images. Click on Options button in upper right corner. Then click on Category tab and set Group images parameter to Yes. Change tab to Categories and make sure Subcategory Levels is set to at least 1 or All. Create new menu item of type: Category - Default, Category - Masonry or Category Squares depending of what layout you would like to use. In Category field select the category holding your subcategories (in our example Animals) and save this menu item. Now you should have a menu item showing Animals grouped by its category.
